AVOW is home to an number of other voluntary organisations.

Menter Iaith Maelor (Maelor Welsh Language Initiatives) is a local organization which offer help for communities to increase and expand their use of the Welsh Language across the county of Wrexham. The Menter Iaith reflects local people's eagerness to make more use of the language. We provide advice and assistance to individuals, organizations and businesses and hold various activities to raise the profile of the language.

WREXHAM GENESIS

Genesis Cymru∙ Wales 2 is a project to help unemployed parents overcome many of the barriers they face when wanting to learn new skills or return to work.

The project will provide:

  • Free help, support, advice and guidance
  • Free or subsided childcare
  • Free daytime ‘taster’ courses for anyone interested in working with children. A free crèche is available on site.

Potential participants MUST be 16 years of age or over and live in Wrexham County Borough.
