Stakeholder Reference Group

Following an open nomination process AVOW have appointed Jacqui Storer as the Third Sector Member to the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board Stakeholder Reference Group (SRG) for Wrexham County Borough.

The members main aim of the role is to contribute to the work of the SRG so as to ensure effective collaboration between public and third sector partners resulting in positive outcomes for people and communities of the County Borough.

Main Responsibilities:

1. To make a positive contribution to the work of the SRG by preparing for, attending and participating in meetings

2. To bring a "third sector" perspective and focus to discussions at SRG meetings, ensuring that relevant experience, knowledge and views are effectively conveyed

3. To contribute to the identification and setting of priorities for the SRG, to a collaborative approach to tackling them and to reviewing progress

4. To consult with and feedback to relevant voluntary and community groups by liaising with the AVOW Health and Social Department and by attending relevant forums and networks facilitated by them.

5. To keep in contact with other third sector members of the SRG to share information and support

6. To attend relevant training and briefing sessions

The SRG provides advice to the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board through:

· Early engagement and involvement in the determination of the BCUHB overall strategic direction.

· Provision of advice on specific service proposals prior to consultation; as well as

· Feedback on the impact of the BCUHB operations on the communities it serves
