AVOW's Annual Reception

AVOW’s (Association of Voluntary Organisations in Wrexham) Annual Reception was held at the Rendezvous Restaurant, Yale College, Wrexham with the Buffet catering being provided by the College Students.

The Mayor and Mayoress of Wrexham County Borough (Councillor Arwel Gwynn Jones and Mrs Jones) attended the Reception and presented Millennium Certificates to volunteers and grant cheques to local organisations.

In his address the Mayor referred to the excellent work u
ndertaken by AVOW throughout the year and to the services provided by AVOW for the public in the County Borough of Wrexham.

Guests included representatives from AVOW’s Member Organisations, the Local Authority, Education and Partnership Bodies, NHS Trust, together with the local Member of Parliament and Welsh Assembly Members.
