Volunteering Projects

Run by the Volunteer Centre to work with The Elms (Community Drug and Alcohol Service) the SURF project has two main goals:

• to encourage service user involvement in the local community

• to offer additional support to service users of the Elms as well as offering valuable experience working with service users in the form of Volunteer Mentors

Volunteer Mentors have been recruited to offer informal support to service users from the Elms.

Whether it's a coffee and a chat or help with C.V. writing, job-hunting etc. There is a lot volunteers can help with and a lot volunteers can give to make a positive difference to someone.
