Membership of AVOW can benefit the work of your own Voluntary Group or Organisation
Membership of AVOW will provide you with:
A say in the planning and development of AVOW, now the umbrella organisation for voluntary organisations in Wrexham County Borough.
Rooms and facilities for meetings up to 50 persons (including audio-visual resources and kitchen facilities)
A multi-functional resource base to support the work of the voluntary sector, including:-
- photocopying/scanning facilities (black & white only)
- lamination facilities
- access to computer facilities including Internet access
- administrative support
- a payroll service
- funder-finder facility
Regular mailings - keeping you informed of the latest developments in the voluntary sector
Equipment hire - portable items of equipment are available on loan e.g. overhead projectors, flipcharts and display boards
An information, advice and referral service covering all areas of importance to voluntary groups - grant applications, bids for funds, applications for charitable status, drafting constitutions, service level agreements etc
Training programmes covering a wide range of issues from funding to computer courses. Seminars covering a range of relevant and important issues, relating to the management, organisation, funding and delivery of services in the voluntary sector.
Quarterly newsletters for members publicising the work of your organisation and covering a range of current issues.
A Volunteer Centre which aims to place people in a field in which they are particularly interested.
A town centre base for representatives from different voluntary organisations to meet together to discuss issues of mutual concern and seek solutions to problems.
