Overview
Wrexham Foodbank is a crisis intervention service with a vision for a Wrexham where everyone has the money to afford the essentials in life. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to be involved, working with the Trussell Trust, in rolling out a strategic plan aimed at reducing the need for foodbanks.
The main priorities for the role are:
- To take a lead in the development of the foodbank’s strategic plan and to guide the improvement and
reorientation of Wrexham Foodbank’s practices towards the delivery of long-term change and a reduction in
referrals to the foodbank. - To develop the Foodbank’s communication system including the website, social media, and networking
opportunities. - To instigate and support local campaigns linked to tackling poverty and to work collaboratively with other
agencies combating poverty.
The Foodbank operates within the ethos of the Christian Faith; Trustees, employees and volunteers are expected to
be sympathetic to this and respect Christian values.
A knowledge of the local area would be advantageous.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, especially those with lived experience of financial hardship. If you are
interested in the role but are unsure if you meet all the criteria, please consider applying, or get in contact to discuss
