  • Welsh Language Measure - Tuesday 11th November, 2014 - £5 per person
    • The training aims to provide participants with an overview of the emerging Welsh Language Standards and the potential implications for those delivering contracted services to the council
  • Food Safety Level 2 - Wednesday 19th November, 2014 - £45 per person
    • The training aims to provide participants with a grasp of the importance of food safety and an understanding of how to control food safety risks.

AVOW Making a Difference (MAD) Grant

In 2013 AVOW celebrated 25 years of helping the third sector in Wrexham.

Throughout that year AVOW raised funds just over £10,000 which has been distributed to third sector organisations and community groups through this Grant scheme. Due to its success, AVOW have continued to raise funds and are now in a position to offer a grant for projects that will make a difference to people in Wrexham County Borough.

Children’s Commissioner for Wales

Can you make a real difference to children and young people’s lives in Wales? Can you ensure they are listened to on issues affecting them? Can you represent them so they have the best opportunities to live a full and healthy life? Could you be the next Children’s Commissioner for Wales?


Wales was the first country in the UK to establish a Children’s Commissioner. The Commissioner is the independent champion of children’s rights. The Children’s Commissioner safeguards and promotes the rights and welfare of children and young people in Wales, makes a difference to children and young people’s lives and makes sure Wales is a country where children and young people are respected, valued, listened to and supported to lead safe and happy lives.

Winter Well Being Grant

The Health Board is inviting applications from Third Sector Organisations for grant funding to Promote Good Health and Wellbeing during the Winter Months (1st December 2014 to 31st March 2015).



Applications are welcomed from all Third Sector Organisations including Organisations currently in receipt of funding from the Health Board. However, funding will not be awarded for services currently funded by the Health Board.


There is no minimum amount of funding that can be applied for however, applications for funding should not exceed £7,500 per division.
