PAR - Promoting Awareness and Reslilence

Promoting Awareness and Resilience is a new seven week, guided self-help programme run jointly by Advance Brighter Futures (ABF) and Empowering Youth Foundation (EYF).

It aims to improve the mental and physical wellbeing of young people aged 16 to 20 through playing golf. The majority of us at some point need a reminder of how to cope with things when they start to get on top of us and the importance of looking after our emotional state. The sessions will be held at Clays Golf Club; each week will consist of an hour with a professional coach and an hour’s group discussion.

The focus of the discussion shall change from week to week; for example, recognising unhelpful thoughts and coping with everyday stress. The first programme is due to start in early September so if you or someone you know could benefit from attending then please get in touch.

If you would like more information on the project, then visit our website www.advancebrighterfutureswrexham.co.uk or www.empoweringyouthfoundation.org.uk
