Volunteering opportunity

Volunteer for Us!

Breast Cancer Care is here for anyone affected by breast cancer. We bring people together, provide information and support and campaign for improved standards of care. We use our understanding of people's experience of breast cancer and our clinical expertise in everything we do.

For many people, losing their hair as a result of treatment for cancer can be the most distressing side effect. Headstrong is a free service which provides practical support for anyone experiencing hair loss due to cancer treatment.

Headstrong volunteers show clients how to cope better with hair loss by demonstrating a range of headwear, including scarves, hats and hairpieces. Full training is given. The service in Wrexham runs on Thursday afternoon. For more information please contact Bev Hampson, Volunteer Manager beverley.hampson@breastcancercare.org.uk
