Job Description
Title: Senior Administrator
Closing Date: 20th of December, 2024
Hours of work: 30 hours/week, Monday to Thursday.
Salary Range: 25,000 to 27,000 pro rata
Pension: 7% Employer Contribution, optional employee contribution
Place of Work: Office based, Ty AVOW, Egerton Street, Wrexham. AVOW has a Hybrid Working Policy and Flexible Working Policy.
Responsible to: Third Sector Development Manager Governance & Engagement

Overarching Responsibility
- To co-ordinate internal administrative processes (Human Resources, Policy & Procedure, and Payroll)
- To provide administrative support to ensure effective internal and external communication
- To be the Point of Contact for Human Resources for all AVOW Employees.
Job Context
- Administrative support to Senior Leadership Team and Board of Trustees
- Administration of Human Resource functions through YouManage HR System (system training available)
- Administrative support for internal Payroll, Finance and Banking functions
- Minute-taking, editing and publication for Board and Staff meetings
- Data management of the Simply Health, Client Resource Management (CRM) database and other monitoring and evaluation processes
- Maintaining efficient, accurate and confidential records
- Maintaining register of policies and procedures for regular review
- Collation and co-ordination of information for Newsletters, Annual Reports, Impact Reports and other publicity material for production by the Media Team.
- Collation and co-ordination of information regarding tenders for various facets of the charity.
- General office duties including report writing, database management, diary management, electronic filing and mailing, answering the telephone and responding to email enquiries from multiple inboxes
- Administrative support for purchasing and maintaining supplies of stationery and office sundries
- To work as an integral member of the Engagement Team which includes Media, Buildings Support, and Administration functions.
- Administrative support for the Engagement Team.
- Administrative support for events, to include managing tickets, recording attendance, and booking people in on arrival.
- Be empowered to make decisions in line with their area(s) of responsibility.
- Complying with AVOW’s policies and procedures
- Support the development of AVOW’s mission and vision strategies.
The post holder may be required to undertake any other duties that fall within the nature of the role and responsibilities of the post as detailed above.
Person Specification
A well-organised individual who will take responsibility for key parts of the organisation’s internal administrative procedures. The postholder should have demonstrable experience of working in a busy office environment, excellent attention to detail and experience of managing a demanding workload with competing deadlines. An effective communicator who can make decisions and recommendations regarding the administrative functions of AVOW.
An excellent standard of written and verbal communication is essential alongside the ability to maintain an enthusiastic, ‘can-do’ attitude.
