Wrexham Food Partnership – Small Grants Programme Information

Wrexham County Borough Council are delighted to provide the Guidance Document and an Expression of Interest for the Wrexham Food Partnership Small Grant Programme.  The funds are available via a process of completion of the expression of interest followed by a full application. Attached the EOI and a copy of the guidance notes to the email, and to support you further a copy of the Scoring Matrix.
Once you return the EOI, this will be logged, and you will be provided with the full application form for completion and return.
Key points for the grant programme:
  • Funding supports capital and/or revenue costs aligned with 6 key aims.
  • Eligible costs include:
    • Delivering projects such as social supermarkets, community cafes, lunch clubs, and community cookery classes.
    • Developing and strengthening food partnerships for healthy, inclusive, accessible, and sustainable local food systems addressing food insecurity.
    • and so much more……..Creativity is encouraged; submit project ideas if they meet the partnership’s aims, even if not listed.
  • All projects must be delivered and funds spent by 31st December 2024.
  • Grants are one-off and non-recurring.
  • Funding must be used as specified in the application form; any changes require prior written consent from the fund panel convened by Wrexham County Borough Council.
  • The grant will not support:
    • Retrospective costs.
    • Non-evidenced-based therapeutic interventions.
    • Existing projects.
  • Minimum amount to be applied for is £300 and maximum £3,000.

This grant is administered and presented by Wrexham County Borough Council.
