Sport Wales, in partnership with Crowdfunder, is making funding available to sports clubs and community organisations looking to improve sports facilities for the benefit of the community.
A Place for Sport is a pilot crowdfunding initiative that can match fund successful Crowdfunder campaigns by up to £15,000.
Sports clubs, voluntary and community groups, and other not-for-profit organisations delivering sport or activity in Wales are invited to run their own crowdfunding campaigns to raise money for various off-field projects, such as for example:
- Changing rooms
- Clubhouse renovations
- Improved kitchen facilities to gain more income
- Bike racks and storage
- Lifts and ramps for better disability access
- Solar panels
- Generators
- Boilers
- New fencing
