Meet the Funder

Tom Bell, Grants Manager – portfolio areas: Children and young people, criminal justice (young people and men). Tom will give an overview of the Henry Smith Charity as a funder, providing an opportunity to learn about their main grants programmes – Improving Lives and Strengthening Communities. Henry Smith Charity provides grants to charitable organisations that help people when other sources of support have failed, are inappropriate, or are simply not available. The charity supports established organisations delivering services directly to beneficiaries. They look for services that can demonstrate a track record of success, and evidence the effectiveness of the work.
