Cafodd y lluniau hyn eu tynnu yn ystod Ffotomarathon Teuluoedd cyntaf Wrecsam ddydd Sadwrn 21 Mai. Yr her i’r teuluoedd oedd cymryd 5 llun i gyfleu 5 ymadrodd allweddol a roddwyd iddyn nhw am 10:30 am mewn amlen. Roedd ganddyn nhw wedyn dair awr i dynnu’r lluniau, eu golygu a’u cyflwyno er mwyn ceisio ennill taleb gwerth £20 i’w wario mewn busnes lleol yn Wrecsam a phrint o’r llun buddugol mewn ffrâm wedi’i hengrafio.

Trefnwyd y digwyddiad gan Brifysgol Plant Wrecsam a Sir y Fflint, rhan o Brifysgol Glyndŵr, gyda chefnogaeth AVOW ac Xplore!

These pictures were taken during the first Wrexham Family Photomarathon which ran on Saturday 21st May. Families were challenged to take 5 images reflecting 5 key phrases that they were given at 10:30 am in an envelope. They had 3 hours to take the pictures, edit and submit them in order to win a £20 gift voucher from a local, Wrexham business and a print of their winning picture in an engraved frame.

The event was organized by the Wrexham & Flintshire Children’s University, part of Wrexham Glyndŵr University and supported by AVOW and Xplore! Families enjoyed a free photography masterclass and could start from either Tŷ AVOW or Wrexham Glyndŵr University. Over 30 children took part, resulting in over 100 photographs now on display at Xplore Science Discovery Centre.

Natalie Edwards, Project Manager at the Children’s University, said: “It has been a wonderful opportunity to work with local partners AVOW, Xplore and Theatr Yr Ifanc Rhos 1990 to put on some exciting and extraordinary activities for young people in Wrexham. The Children’s University scheme is based on providing varied opportunities for children to try new things, gain skills, make friends and enjoy themselves. Based on the extremely positive feedback from the families involved, we look forward to repeating these events in the future, and we sincerely hope that Wrexham wins the bid for City of Culture 2025!”

Dawn Roberts-McCabe, AVOW Chief Officer, said: “The AVOW team were thrilled to partner with The Children’s University on this fun-filled Photomarathon in support of Wrexham’s City of Culture 2025 bid: The buzz from the families participating was palpable and the photos of Wrexham were outstanding! I hope everyone has the chance to see them in person at Xplore!”
