To mark Trustees’ Week 2022, we’ll be publishing a series of spotlights on some of our Trustees and the wonderful work they do at AVOW, and the experience they bring to our Board! Today’s spotlight is our Chair of the Finance Committee, Mervyn Dean.
Mervyn has been a Trustee with AVOW for 8 years. Beforehand, he has worked as Principal Auditor with Wrexham County Borough Council, as former Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, and as a former school governor and Vice Chair at St Mary’s School Ruabon and Ysgol Rhiwabon.
While he keeps himself extremely busy, in his downtime he enjoys playing golf, photography, days out with his wife, and gardening.
Mervyn is a longstanding supporter and volunteer at Wrexham AFC. He also sets and hosts quizzes for local charities and pubs!
