Trustees are people who can bring different talents and outlooks to a charity. It’s important to have all kinds of trustees on the board, so that a charity can hear the lived voices of the people they are trying to help.
AVOW works hard to try to make sure that their board of trustees is full of people with different skills and experience. A diverse board can enable a charity to be more fluid, and more aware of the needs of the people that they serve.
