See And Be Seen Event – For People Of All Ages To Enjoy
Age Without Limits Action Day, 20th of March.
This action day is all about challenging the often narrow, negative and stereotypical way that older people and ageing is portrayed in our society. This day aims to challenge these sterotypes and to showcase the huge diversity that exists in ageing. After all, you cannot be what you cannot see. This day aims to inspire people, to raise people up, to let them see something that they might not otherwise see. To show that the possibilities are endless.
This year, Wrexham Council in partnership with AVOW and other charitable groups are running an event in the Well Being Hub, with connected satellite events throughout the Wrexham County Borough. There are a raft of events that anyone can join in on – no matter their age.
The main event itself is FREE and runs between 10am and 2pm. Some of the activities require booking, or even gathering and bringing some materials of your own.
