To mark Trustees’ Week 2022, we’ll be publishing a series of spotlights on some of our Trustees and the wonderful work they do at AVOW, and the experience they bring to our Board! The second of today’s two Trustee spotlights is the brilliant Scot Owen!
Scot currently holds the role of Centre Manager at the ‘Xplore! Science Discovery Centre,’ managed by North Wales Science Ltd (a member organisation of AVOW). Scot also holds a trustee role as Chair of Treasure Chest Charity based at Park CP, Llay! Two things are for certain: Scot keeps himself very busy and is deeply invested in community enterprises.
Some of his previous roles include working in pharmaceutical development in Wrexham and teaching Chemistry to students aged 11 – 18, both locally and abroad. Scot’s MBA degree focused on Leadership and HRM.
